Cleansing Your Crystal Friends

So you finally made your choice and have one or many crystal friends to help you on your way to manifesting your dreams.
There is one important thing you will need to do. That is, clean and clear your stone of any residual energies that your crystal guardian may have picked up along their journey to you.
This could have been energies picked up from people that have handled or touched your crystal or geographic energies picked up during their travels.

Not all energy is helpful to us. This definitely includes negative energy or even energy that does not mix well with our own. Nonconforming energy may hinder us on our journey to manifesting or what I like to call using our "Wish Magic". We will delve into wish magic in more detail in later blog posts. It's quite fun and I will share my amazing experiences with you on that topic in a future blog.

Anyway, back to our important topic on Crystal cleansing. So now you have your stone or stones. There are easy ways to cleanse, for those of you that may not have a lot of time, and there are more elaborate methods. I will just name a few that are quick or helpful that will do the job to get you ready to make your dreams come true.
Remember, the idea is, the clearer (clean) the energy of the stone, the more powerful and helpful it will be when helping bring you positive energies.

Sunlight or Moonlight Cleanse- The sun and moon are energetic forms of pure and powerful energy. Their natural power is energizing and cleansing to your new crystal friends.
To use the method- Placing your crystals outside (preferably) or in a windowsill will give them the opportunity to soak up the energy of sunlight or moonlight creating a cleansing/charging effect. BUT BE WARNED! Some stones types will fade if left in the direct sun. Examples are Amethyst and Turquoise just to name a few. If in doubt, use the moon power to cleanse and energize your stone friends,

Earth Cleansing- Recommended for crystals that need more thorough cleansing. This involves actually burying your crystal into the earth for a period of 3 or more daysThis is extremely cleansing and healing for your crystals as they are born from the Earth. It's like sending them home to visit mom. Only their mom is Mother Nature(A little Earth Humor?)This can be done in the backyard, or even a special flower pot or Jar you can set up for this purpose. But mark the spot where you bury these little guys so they don't go MIA on you.

Salt Water- Salt is considered very cleansing and one of the best and easy ways to cleanse your crystals. To use, place your stones in a glass container that contains your special cleansing mixture of salt and water. Simply fill a glass container ½ to 1/3 full and add a pinch or 2 of sea salt. BEWARE!! Not all stones are suitable for this cleansing method.Do not use with porous or stones that may contain metal.

Smudging- This is one of my favorite method. It is easy and it makes the the room smell good.
Take a joss or incense stick and light it. You will then pass your stone through the smoke while talking to your stone affirming to release all negative energies that may be stored within and to work for your greatest and highest good. Pass through a couple of times until you feel it is clean.

Stone Clearing- This is another easy one. You simply place your stone on top of another stone that has natural clearing qualities. Some of these include, Selenite, Amethyst, Carnelian and Citrine.

Running Water Cleanse- This is a vey simple way to cleanse your crystal and is usually recommended when you’re stone is not too "dirty". You simply pass your stone through running water while talking to your stone affirming to release all negative energies that may be stored within and to work for your greatest and highest good. Pass through a couple of times until you feel it is clean.

These methods will help you prepare your special friends to have high vibrational energy that will help you in your manifesting goals.
